Lightweight and more power (extra spin optional).
Head Graphene XT Speed Rev Pro features Adaptive String Pattern. This innovative grommet allows users to choose between regular open string pattern 16/19 and a more open 16/16 for more extreme spin. Now, players can alter string pattern for extra spin depending on court surface or even opponents with the same frame type.
Graphene technology has also been taken to the next level with Graphene XT in this racket. This lightest and toughest form of carbon allows for even more weight to be concentrated towards the handle and top of the racket. This arrangement increases the 'swing weight' of the racket for even more powerful shots.
This racket replaces the Graphene Speed Rev which was extremely popular with junior players, loved for its light-weight, control and speed. This version adds even more power and stability with introduction of Graphene XT and thicker beam. The Adaptive String Pattern is also an extremely useful option for match players.
Please note that the racket is originally supplied pre-strung in 16x16 string pattern with HEAD Lynx strings. This version will have strings removed and 16x19 grommets fitted with 16x16 grommets supplied separately. IF YOU WISH TO RECEIVE THIS RACKET STRUNG IN 16X19 STRING PATTERN, PLEASE ORDER A STRING UPGRADE. You can easily switch between two string patterns by changing the grommets during a restring.
String pattern denotes the number of times mains strings (running vertically when racket is held up straight) and crosses (shorter horizontal strings) span the frame. So for example, in a 16x19 string pattern, strings will run as mains 16 times and 19 times as crosses. With 16x16 string pattern, strings traverse three times less on the crosses, leaving bigger gaps between strings. This allows the stringbed to brush the ball with more bite, creating more spin. In short, opt for 16x16 for extra topspin and power or 16x19 for better string durability and feel.
