The latest 2024 range of Speed rackets from Head features something for all playing styles and abilities. For the pro or advanced players, there are heavier weights and thinner beams, whereas for casual players, there are lighter weights, bigger head sizes and thicker beams.

The Head SPEED variations explained:

  • Speed Pro: Weight 310g, Head Size 100 sq.in, designed for advanced tournament players with exceptional speed and agility on the court. The Speed Pro is a high-performance racket, has been developed for the highest level of competition and for those have who the strength to handle a heavier racket.
  • Speed MP: Weight 300g, Head Size 100 sq.in, designed for ambitious intermediate players transitioning towards an aggressive baseline game. It offers a balance of power and control in a package that's more manageable compared to the advanced-level Speed Pro.
  • Speed MP L: Weight 280g, Head Size 100 sq.in, is geared towards aggressive baseliners who prioritise manoeuvrability. This lighter weight is a key differentiator between the Speed MP L and the regular Speed MP (around 300 grams unstrung). The lighter weight makes the racket easier to swing and more manoeuvrable.
  • Speed Team: Weight 270g, Head Size 102 sq.in, recently revamped model designed for occasional players who want a lightweight and manoeuvrable racket with a focus on speedy swings and easier shot making. The sweet spot is large enough for power on shots, even on off-centre hits.
  • Speed Team L: Weight 255g, Head Size 107 sq.in, designed for casual players who prioritise extreme manoeuvrability and ease of use. It's an even lighter version of the standard Speed Team, making it ideal for players who want a super fast-swinging racket.

What is Auxetic 2.0?

Auxetic engineering gives a unique experience compared to non-Auxetic construction. Auxetic constructions expand when a “pull” force is applied and contract when squeezed. The bigger the force applied, the bigger Auxetic reaction. The Auxetic cage means you fell the impact right when and where the action happens, it is the ultimate connection between player and racket.
