HEAD Boom Tennis Rackets

HEAD Boom rackets just got even more explosive! With the new Auxetic 2.0 technology, the Boom rackets have sensational feel which ultimately make it easier to play with. Boom rackets are designed to provide easy access to power whilst still maintaining a degree of control for shot placement.

For the new 2024 range of rackets, there are also two colour options for each racket in the range, the standard blue/black colour or the Alternate colour.

The Head Boom variations explained:

• Boom Pro: Weight 310g, Head Size 98 sq.in, a smaller head size, stiffer flex, and lighter weight for experienced players who prioritise control and precision while still wanting some power. 

• Boom MP: Weight 295g, Head Size 100 sq.in, designed for ambitious intermediate players and advanced players looking for a lighter weight and more manoeuvrable option with enough power and control.

• Boom MP L: Weight 270g, Head Size 100 sq.in, a lightweight construction and midsized head make this a great choice for intermediate players who want a faster racket for easier handling and improved manoeuvrability, while still being able to generate power.

• Boom Team: Weight 275g, Head Size 102 sq.in, a user-friendly experience for players who are still developing their technique but want a racket that can deliver some pop on shots. A good, versatile all-rounder!

• Boom Team L: Weight 260g, Head Size 107 sq.in, designed for intermediate players who prioritise a balance of power, manoeuvrability, and comfort in a slightly lighter package. The Boom Team L is geared towards all-court play, with an emphasis on manoeuvrability.

What is Auxetic 2.0?

Auxetic engineering gives a unique experience compared to non-Auxetic construction. Auxetic constructions expand when a “pull” force is applied and contract when squeezed. The bigger the force applied, the bigger Auxetic reaction. The Auxetic cage means you fell the impact right when and where the action happens, it is the ultimate connection between player and racket.
