In the UK, there are only a few places where purpose built pickleball courts have been set up. At the moment most pickleball courts are set up either on tennis courts or in indoor centres. Some of the brands are starting to produce pickleball specific shoes and we will be stocking those as they come in. Pickleball shoes have to be selected with the surface in mind, therefore we have selected some tennis shoes and the indoor court shoes that are suitable for pickleball.
If the pickleball court has been set up on a tennis court, then we have selected from our selection of "all-court tennis shoes". If you play on an indoor court surface, then we have selected from our stocks of indoor court shoes that would fit the purpose. Indoor court shoes are more flexible hence suitable for indoor surfaces.
Generally speaking, for hard surfaces, tennis shoes are more suitable, for slippery surfaces, the indoor court ones are more suitable.
