Play like Kento Momota with the Yonex Astrox 99 Pro, perfect for the advanced attacking player. The highly anticipated Astrox 99 Pro is here and brings numerous changes to enhance the racket for advanced and intermediate players alike. A stiff, head-heavy racket from the popular Astrox range, the Astrox 99 Pro takes the success of the Astrox 99 and takes it to the next level with careful adjustments.

The biggest change includes the addition of Volume Cut Resin - a new epoxy resin providing excellent strength at light weight. This is necessary to support the new slimmer shaft, which is also shorter compared to the Astrox 99. Advanced players will be able to take advantage of the increased snap back from the slimmer shaft, while most players should notice the improved feel.

The hoop of the racket has also seen refinements which include an optimised isometric head shape, fine-tuned for more forgiveness on off-centre shots. The thickness of the frame at the top of the racket has been made thicker to enhance power and to accommodate and work with the Power Assist Bumper, which extends the length of some of the central mains strings for even more snap back and power.

The changes ultimately result in a powerful Astrox racket that is also capable of remarkable level of control. Designed for players like Kento Momota, the Astrox 99 Pro is not only great at smashes, but also feels great on slices and net play, specifically spin shots, especially when it's strung in Yonex Aerobite strings.

Product Details:

  • Aero+ Box Frame - Combines solid hitting feel and quick swing
  • Isometric - Developed over 30 years ago, the Isometric design increases the sweet spot by 7%. Compared to a conventional round frame, a square-shaped Isometric racket generates a larger sweet spot by optimizing the intersection of the main and cross strings
  • Rotational Generator System - By applying the counterbalance theory, weight is carefully distributed throughout the grip end, frame top and joint, enabling smooth transition between powerful shots for rapid, successive attacks
  • Super Slim Shaft - The slimmest racquet ever produced by Yonex vastly reduces air resistance whilst providing maximum feel
  • Energy Boost Cap Plus - Uniquely shaped cap which maximizes shaft performance. The front allows the shaft to flex, while the side's arch-shaped curve stabilizes the racquet face by preventing the shaft from twisting
  • Power Assist Bumper - Attached to enforce heavier, increased power by configuring the weight directed into the shuttlecock with a tungsten-infused nylon bumper
          • Frame: H.M Graphite + Namd + VOLUME CUT RESIN + Tungsten
          • Shaft: H.M Graphite + Namd
          • Yonex Technologies: Namd, Rotational Generator System, Energy Boost Cap Plus, Power Assist Bumper, Wide Diameter Grommets, Modified ISOMETRIC frame shape

          Made in Japan.
