Given its appeal towards coaches and serious club players, the heavier frame (compared to the standard Pure Drive) but head light balance of this racket appeals to a lot of players who prefer a more all-round game rather than bashing away with topspin from the back of the court.

Andy Roddick's new signature racket comes with a more Pure feel than ever and its not only the vivid blue colour that is new. The main difference to the normal Pure Drive is in the head light balance. This heavier version of the Pure Drive GT comes with more elements of a players frame and lies perfectly between out and out players rackets and all-round racket. It is stable and moneouverable and makes it easier to control the ball but at the same time it also packs a lot of power and enables players to place the ball deeper with greater ease.
The Technology:
GT (Graphite Tungsten) Technology...Tungsten fibres are combined with graphite at strategic parts of the racket to improve stability and control and feel. While the Cortex system still filters out harmful vibrations, the Tungsten content adds to the feel.
