The heaviest (315g) of the Radicals (Andy Murray's choice) the Pro packs more power, spin and stability compared to the MidPlus. Offering more bite on the ball, the Pro makes a solid hitting racket for the modern power game. It is also closer in stats (compared to the MP) to the actual racket that Murray plays with (he uses a different grommit strip)
With its mass and swingweight, the YouTek Radical Pro is powerful in that it puts weight into the shots rather than sending the ball flying off the stringbed like oversized frames. Being one of the least stiff players frame, it excels at touch and feel shots like slice and drop volleys.
With the introduction of D30, the YouTek Radical Pro holds its stiffness on high impact groundstrokes while flexing more on low impact shots for longer ball-on-stringbed time for more feel and response. The YouTeks also see the application of DuPont Teflon grommets first introduced on the Extreme, which reduce friction for improved power and string life.
This racket comes as a frame only from Head. You will recieve the racket unstrung UNLESS you purchase one of the upgrades below.... please remember to pick your stringing tension and to purchase 2 upgrades for 2 rackets:
