Head Microgel & Metallix 2009 Tennis Rackets

HEAD have engineered the Microgel technology specifically with their tour players in mind. Ivan Ljubicic is using the Head Microgel Extreme Pro. HEAD’s innovative new MicroGel™ technology delivers.
Rock-solid feel and touch:
With the lowest density of any material, HEAD MicroGel™ is a revolutionary new silicone-based material. HEAD has combined MicroGel ™ with stiff and strong carbon composite fibers to create a racquet with incredible responsive qualities. On ball impact, MicroGel™ uniformly distributes the impact load around the frame to provide the most rock-solid feel and superior touch ever achieved in the game.

Buy any Head MICROGEL racket over £100.00 and get 3 cans of these balls FREE (6 cans for 2 racket deals) (on-line orders only) (while stocks last - an alternative ball may be substituted)..

From the start of 2009, new Head rackets come in bio-degradable plastic bags rather than a cover. This decision comes as an effort from Head to become more eco- friendly. How does it help? Well, most racket covers get binned immediately while the rackets go into thermo bags. However, because of PVC contained in most racket covers do not decompose but aren't recycled either because of the high cost involved in recycling PVC. N.B. Older models such as the Metallix and Flexpoints will still be dispatched with covers.
